When I made this shirt I wasn’t sure how I’m gonna wear it, I was thinking that only skinny jeans will look great and not make me look bulky, then pencil skirt came to my mind.)

The inspiration came from several designers, there are different fabrics and different stripes used in same shirt, plus open back..and there is a girl on instagram, who made an amazing shirt dress in stripes @_ym.sews_

Here is my Pinterest board inspiration:

And you may like also this boar of RTW shirts I was pinning, some details are really super cool!

Sooo, after all that inspiration I started changing Archer Shirt Pattern (which I already had and made with long sleeves here) into sleeveless shirt pattern using this tutorial.

Then I drew like 8 possible variations of the fabric placement and made my hubby to choose one, haha! I couldn’t… He spent sometime looking and chose two, so then…the amount of fabric made me choose the only one variant which I finally made. Can’t find my drawings…but when I will I’ll share them here and on insta, maybe some of them can inspire you 😉

For the open back I cut the pattern back piece in the middle and then added some cm so they can go one on top of the other) and also I added for seam allowance, to fold them, if this make any sense at all..

Oh! And I severely reduced it on the waistline after I finished the shirt, it was adding too many extra cm….

I think those are all changes.. Can’t remember anything else, but if you want to recreate something similar and have questions feel free to ask 😉
