This wrap dress was one of the first patterns I bought when I was planning my sewing back in April)) I wanted so much sew so many wrap dresses! I had few RTW, but I wanted my own)
It took me time to actually sew one. This is my first sewn dress ever. And…I am thinking to destroy it,or better to say make a top out of it.
I think the experiment was too big, fabric and pattern, that it made me not wanting to wear it. I do not feel myself in it. BUT! It was good to experiment!) I think the issue is with both! I love plain colors and some prints , that are rather bigger and .. let’s say – different! And the pattern – I think this shape is not mine. No! Not of the wrap dress, I love it fits me on top, but the skirt part is ugly.. I mean I don’t like it at all…
I’m planning to try the pattern by Name, I really like how the skirt of Olivia dress drapes, I think it will be much better for my curves.
I’ve said more things about this dress in my September makes video, as I sewn it long ago, cannot recall all small details)
I didn’t like adding seam allowance…SO MUCH!!! And…I leveled up the waist a lil bit, as my natural waist is a lil higher than standard. I believe that’s it…. oh! I didn’t like some diagrams in the instructions which supposed to help you, but they really confused me a lot.. Unfortunately this is not the pattern I would recommend..
