Love this cowl-neck top photographed back in October when we still had very beautiful sunny and warm days. it was very easy and fast make, I finished it back in September.
I didn’t like that I needed to add seam allowance, I always hate that step in patterns! lol boring and no sense, love that Salme Patterns do, they give you two pdf, one with seam allowance and the other without, so you can really be free to choose and not waste your time.
I didn’t follow the instructions much, I told you everything about in that September video. But in general I just used different method to close the edges of the jersey fabric without spending meters of clear elastic (I can buy it only online, so I do try to use it only when it is necessary, lol) If you need I could make a video on how I close the edges, let me know in the comments 😉
This fabric is not something you would use for cowl neck tops, it is pretty stiff, but I saw “something”, you know that feeling when you see fabric and you know which garment you want to make? And you are 100% sure you’ll love it? lol this is what happened to me)) Although the fabric has its defects (the pattern is not aligned with grain line) I love this top! LOVE!
can’t wait when summer will come back so I can put it on again!
