My little cherry dress became my favorite since the second I’ve tried it on! It was LOVE! haha))

The Little Red Dress Challenge is over and it’s time to reveal! As I said earlier (in my Fabric Haul) this is as red as I could go, lol! Since the day of announcement of this challenge I’ve been secretly wishing it to be The Little Blue Dress Challenge, haha I’m not fun of red, and I don’t see me wearing red dress that often. Specially in this exact time of my life.

So I decided not to over stress my wardrobe and make something I can use daily, in winter, in spring or chilly summer day/night, a dress I can dress up or down, well “any day” dress!)) Since By Hand London released their Alix, I knew, this is IT! I’m so loving how everything came together and it I kind of dream dress I never knew I wanted!

The pattern is really great! I went for mini dress version and then shortened it slightly. I used “baby hem” (it’s called so many names!) instead of the hem proposal in the instructions to make hem more thin and flexible with my light viscose.

I also inclosed all seams inside. The neckline and waist are stitched in the ditch, although for the next time I want to apply hand stitching, which I know nothing about right now, but want to learn everything! And the other seams are all French 😉

Again – LOVE LOVE LOVE the dress! Gonna make more for summer, be ready!!!
