Bellatrix is my first jacket…OMG! I was scared and super super excited!!! But let me tell you it was EASY! How?!

The instructions for this jacket are purrrrfect!!! I love each step of it. There was one part I didn’t get (due to my few months of sewing experience, lol), but after I wrote to Papercut Patterns and everyting (absolutely everything got super clear!)

I wanted ot make a video review for this jacket, but I’m seriously lacking time for it now, but I wish I’ll in the nearest fututre, because this pattern needs to be sewn more and more!))

I made it in August. And had my time enjoying it) The photos were taken in the beginning of October when there were some hot days of wearing shorts, lol but now it’s super freezing here, I’m dreaming of wool and not of linen, haha

Sewing this jacket I made a lot of alterations! I removed nearly 5 cm from the length of the body at the back to make it sit well on my low back, my waist is too high and the curve on the back is too big, so I did my best, and it was pretty easy to do, thanks to the structure of the jacket))! I also removed in princess seams in front and at the back and a little bit on top of the sleeve) I think it is best fitted jacket I ever had))) I’m so proud of it)

I was doing all the alterations before I’ve attached the lining. Then I copied the alterations to the lining and pattern for future use)

Well, there are a lot of photos down here, I ust couldn’t  put less, this jacket is a must and even if you have never made one like me, just go for it! 100%!

I generally wear the blazer open with rolled sleeves, but when it gets chilly I’m warming up fast) Just to see the difference of it closed and with sleeves down.

I think I can tweak it more next time for the better fit for the back when it is closed. And with all my alterations there was weird thing happening with the sleeve, it doesn’t look quite right on the wrist (the lining is pulling a little bit). I hope to resolve it next time..
